Our International Wrestling Camp is providing you an opportunity to travel to one of the best wrestling countries in Eastern Europe, Ukraine. Being a former Soviet Republic, much of the training systems used in these parts of Europe, mirror the Russian Style of training. Not only will each participant benefit from some of the best training partners and coaches, each participant will gain the experience of learning about a new culture. We have made long lasting friendships, learned about Ukrainian culture and learned different methods of training in our trips. Wrestlers will be training with wrestlers of all levels of experience from beginner to participants in the Cadet and Junior World Championships. It is definitely a chance of a lifetime and an opportunity that any wrestler looking to raise their level, should take part in.
Location: Our camp is located in Kolomyia, Ukraine which is on the Prut River in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast province of Western Ukraine.
Hotel/Meals: The hotel will provide your son/daughter with three meals per day; breakfast, lunch and
Training: Trainings will consist of two trainings per day. Participants will have an early run before breakfast, and technique workout after breakfast and another technique workout in the evening before
dinner. Participants will also have the pleasure of climbing up the highest peak in the Ukraine, Mt. Hoverla, which is used as a whole day workout. It takes approximately two and a half hours to climb the mountain that is part of the Carpathian Mountain Range and overlooks into Romania. A typical workout day resembles:
12:45pm-2:00pm- Free time
2:30pm-5:00pm- Technique Workout
6:00pm-8:00pm- Free time
8:00pm-9:00pm- Journal Writing
9:00pm-10:00pm- Group Meeting
10:30pm- Lights out
*training schedule is subject to change depending on weather, soreness, injuries, recovery, possible spontaneous excursions*
Sightseeing: Sightseeing and cultural trips will be intermingled during free time. Kids will have the option to remain at the hotel if requested. It is highly encouraged to engage in the culture to gain thefull experience.
