Last spring, Scarlett Miele and Ella Poalillo traveled to Spokane, Washington to compete at the USAW Women’s’ National Championships and World Team Trials.
Scarlett Miele returned home with the 14U Freestyle National Title with a 2-1 victory in the finals. Scarlett will is a freshman this year at Parsippany High School.
Ella Poalillo competed in the U17 Women’s World Team Trials where sh captured the World Team spot at 72kg. Scarlett went out to the U17 World Championships in Greece and returned home with a Bronze Medal, losing to the India in the semis. The Indian went out to the U20 World Championships and became a U20 World Champ. Ella continued her awesome summer with two major victories. She traveled to Iowa to compete at the infamous Who’s #1 event where the #1 ranking would be decided. Ella was victorious at the event solidifying her #1 ranking in the country. Ella also went out to North Carolina to compete at the Super 32 Challenge where she also avenged a loss from last year’s Fargo final, to capture the illustrious Super 32 belt. Finally, Ella recently competed at the girls Beast of the East tournament in Delaware where she also captured that crown.
